Leigh Bowman

Bio

Dr Bowman is an Epidemiologist with expertise in neglected tropical diseases, particularly Aedes-borne arboviruses. He has spent over 10 years working in low- and middle-income countries, often on deployment with the World Health Organisation, and has published widely on policy, in peer-reviewed journals, the media, blogs and podcasts. Leigh holds a teaching post at Imperial College London and is Chief Scientist at the British Exploring Society. He also lectures on arboviruses at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He holds degrees from the University of Leeds (BSc), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (MSc) and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (PhD).
