Bio

Patrick is a Lecturer at School of Psychology, University of Western Australia and Director for the Industrial and Organisational Psychology program at the school. Previously Patrick worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Business School and School of Psychology, UWA, investigating various research topics on global virtual teams and community wildfire safety. Patrick also has a wide range of experiences working with industry, including several years of full-time experience working as a personnel selection consultant for a small business in Melbourne. Currently Pat is the Chief Investigator of a number of large-scale and highly competitive Australian Research Council grants, investigating personality and cognitive development in adults through their work experiences, and understanding the motivations of volunteers. Pat has published on highly regarded international journals, including Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Personality, Journal of Research in Personality, among others. Pat received his PhD in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from UWA, and is a registered Psychologist in Australia.
