インド商科大学院(Indian School of Business) による Capstone Project: Business Technology Management の受講者のレビューおよびフィードバック

The Capstone Project places you in the shoes of a CIO of a hypothetical FMCG firm, Indus Consumer Products Limited, who is required to select a portfolio of IT investments for the decision year that is aligned with the business strategy and objectives of the firm. Different business units in the company have proposed different applications to implement. Your job as CIO will be to analyze the business case for each of the projects and identify those that best serve the long-term business strategy and objectives of the firm. Your choice of IT investments is constrained by the IT budget for the given financial year. The case consists of the following artifacts: - Letter from the CEO - Company Report - IT Assessment Report - Proposal for the SCM Initiative - Proposal for Rural Connect - Proposal for the new ERP System The case is designed to provide a Capstone experience on many of the concepts and frameworks learned in the specialization. Learners need to: (a) Identify a broad business focus of the company using the competitor data. Provide a couple of lines on the strategic pain points for the firm. (b) Which one of the five applications must the company invest in? Why? Provide strategic and financial reasons in support. (c) Thoroughly analyse past projects to remove redundant or unviable investments. (d) Identify and propose strategies for managing risk associated with large scale IT investments. (e) Create an organizational structure and communication plan that will engage various stakeholders of the organization....

Week 1 and Week 5 are well explained with proper assignments to learn from. Week 2 is about balance sheet and cashflow. For someone new to finance, it doesnt provide enough guidance to complete the assignment.

The assignment for week 2 is also neither clear nor has proper explanation. This could be fixed by improving the content and giving a more reasonable assignment. Biggest concern is that assignment requires a excel sheet kind of row-column explanation however the Coursera doesnt have a way to write the answer in such a way.

Week 3 content can be improved by adding more visual explanation and slides.

The questions on discussion forum dont get answered.

This was a good project. However, I did not enjoy the fact that there were so few learners. It took more than 1 month after I had submitted my assignments that I could get someone to review them to be able to pass the course. This implied that I had to unnecessarily pay one extra instalment.

I'm not pleased at all with this course. Although they say that you're able to talk with a professor, I never once got a response from any professor for any of the questions I had. They rely on others taking the course to drive the discussions in the question forum space. The peer grading system is broken and unfair. The grading rubic is broken and need to be fixed...some require you to click on a box to submit a number grade where others ask you to enter feedback in a box, and that grade IS NOT being averaged into the entire score for the class. You're at the mercy of others taking the class to grade your work, pretty much having to beg someone to grade your work, in order to get it graded before your subscription runs out. If you can't find anyone to grade it, then you have to pay another full month for the class. I will never take another Coursera course again - too much work, too little reward and too much money.

The 4th week was a bit boring. But overall lot of knowledge acquisition.

Narration and subtitle where not matching for multiple presentations

Some of the answers of certain question did not make sense and no clues were given to understand the choices made

In peer review there were answers which were to be updated in tables but tables could not be updated in to the answer option.

Assignments could have been better designed

This isn't the capstone project you are looking for, if you want to learn don't take this specialization. If you want to just get a certificate then, this is easy expect cheating classmates though
