Engaging content and excellent pace. While the level is introductory (I'd have liked a bit more depth), I would expect this from a lower-division/breadth course—and even more so from a MOOC like this.

I have been practicing meditation for two years already. In so far I have attended all Deepak Chopra meditation experiences which I found very helpful but not as helpful this course provided me so far.

A wonderful journey into Buddhist psychology through the lens of author Robert Wright. Leans heavily on evolutionary psychology, as that has been the angle of many of Wright's books. It has deepened my interest in the intersection of Buddhism and Psychology.

A wonderful course.
Before joining the course I knew a bit about Buddhism but Psychology ! I had no clue. The video lectures, the office hours, etc shared by Prof. Wright were expectional. Gain a lot about Buddhism amd Pscychology . Thanks to Prof. Wright.

Mr. Wright gave very clear talks. Very understandable and thorough. He was easy to follow, making sure that the important points of his talks were emphasized so I knew where he was going with his thought processes. Thank you for an enjoyable conversation

Loved this class. First online course I ever saw through until the end. Informative (interesting lectures and readings), fun (informal office hours videos w/the Professor and his dogs) and applicable to everyday life (learning about meditation benefits).

Very interesting, critical, and has a lot of food to chew on. On a side note, but definitely worth mentioning, Professor Wright tells hilarious humors wearing his iconic straight face, which makes the courses and office hours all the more fun to watch.

As I followed the course my interest grew, because great questions arise, and the connections between Psychology and Buddhism are clear, an exiting discovery for me. Also, professor Wright is an excellent orator, so the lectures was clear and pleasant.

This is a great course for both Buddhists and those with an interest in what lies behind human motivation. Dr Wright has a dry sense of humor which comes across in the lectures making them compelling viewing. I really did enjoy the course very much.

Excellent course, I like the way professor Wright introduce us to Buddhism and do the link to the Modern Psychology. Only beware nothing will be the same after this course, the concepts make us to think a new way how we are :). Open mind is the key.

This was a phenomenal course. It was very well planned out and enabled me to acquire a deep understanding of the important concepts. The assignments given helped to crystallize my own analysis of Buddhism and its relationship with modern psychology.

I really enjoyed this course. The subject matter was very thought provoking or perhaps it better said that it was thought managing. Great presentation by the professor and the obvious interest that he has in the course himself came across very well.

It is an amazing insight, although intellectually :) , and gives one the idea on what buddhism really is about. Telling the story parallel to findings of modern psychology is also a great approach. Well prepared, well told. Respect and gratitude. :)

The Right Course, for those inquisitive Hindus like me. Convincing synthesis of various schools of thought, which only an Evolutionary Psychologist can propound. Wish the Dr Wright moves on to the compassionate part of practices in the next course.

One of the best courses that I have taken in Coursera. Dr. Robin Wright is really passionate in creating this course, not just as a lecturer, but he really believes in what he is teaching.
The course materials and reading list are gems of knowledge.

Excellent course! I have found exactly what I was looking for: a very clear and exciting explanation of the scientific foundations of Buddhist thought. After that I am definitely continuing in both lines: meditation practice and study of the mind.

This course allows to develop an insight and open your mind's capacity to comprehend the unimaginable and focus on the most simple concepts that is mostly overlooked but creates an extraordinary potential that can slide through beyond limits.

This course was very insightful especially the correlation to modern psychology. It has helped me understand so much in depth about our mind works and bring some rational that i had been struggling to comprehend from many spiritual discourses

Very interesting course about the link between naturalistic buddhism and evolution psychology. That's a must to do for people who meditates because it gives perspective to our practice. Even if you don't do meditation, you'll learn so much.

Really interesting and wonderful course! I got deeper insight into Buddhism and learned a lot about myself, too. I can only recommend this for people, who are interested in how Buddhist thought can be seen in modern life as still relevant.
