Magnificent!

Clear and concise revelations about the human condition, how to understand the tricky nature of our minds and practical advice about how to counteract those deceptions.

I found this course really helpful, useful and insightful. It got me thinking and was the right amount of practical and lectures.

Dr Santos is a big positive of the course and guides you towards big revelations while being down to earth and kind with it.

My happiness scores improved a lot and I really didn't think they would when I started - that must be testament to the course. 5 stars and highly recommended!

Truly enjoyed the content, pace and speakers. The course is an excellent blend of theory, concept, hands-on exercises as well as interaction with fellow course takers. Really loved Professor Santos's engaging lecture and her ability to present complex psychological content in a simple way with ample examples. Well worth investing the time; walked away with plenty of tools and methods to improve my well being.

This course is so applicable to daily life. I truly benefited from it. As a working professional, I appreciated that everything you needed to know was covered in the lectures and I could choose to read further from the suggested readings provided if I wanted to. Professor Laurie Santos is amazing and relatable. My well-being/happiness scores improved tremendously and it feels like it! I definitely recommend.

Co-workers had forwarded this course to me, and I'm the only one of the group that actually did it. I felt it was very worthwhile and helped me set wellbeing goals. With all that is going on right now (Covid, not being able to see my family and most of my friends), it has put me in a better mindset and given me solid tools to better myself so that I will be a better person once we can all be together again.

I appreciate your time Professor Laurie Santos. I thoroughly enjoyed this, my first college course EVER! I've always wanted to take College Courses, but the older I got, the more afraid I was. I had a life threatening scare in September and decided that there was no better time than now to dive in and take a course. I am proud of myself as is my husband, children and mother. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I found the material in the course engaging and informative. The course has helped me to think more about what are the most important things to live a good life no matter what set of circumstances I find myself in. I read Oettingen's book about using the WOOP technique and now I am going to read the book on Flow. Professor Santos has a brilliant lecture style which made the videos very enjoyable to watch.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course. I have been going through some depression for awhile now and needed to make some changes and I figured during a pandemic while I'm quarantined and the new home school teacher now is the time to make me a priority and to make me happy and I am proud to say I was successful and will continue to work on making me happy and showing my children how to be happy as well. I’m so grateful that this course was offered and appreciate so much the hard work done by Dr Santos. I wish everyone could take this course! I’m much more relaxed and do not have the frantic multi tasking habit thinking the more I got done the better I’d feel. Not so. Time affluence and putting my time in the real things that make me happy, give better results. Thank you for this life changing course!

I consider that the subject is important for any person, since we all face daily with obstacles; and this course gives us tools to learn how to channel them, which leads us to live a healthier life physically and mentally. The course is very easy to understand, the classes are pleasant, there are practices and the material is interesting and very well founded. Thank you for such an excellent contribution.

The Instructor is knowledgeable, professional, engaging, provided good content, along with videos including students, visually approachable, including body language. The instructor came across as encouraging, including with verbal tones, refreshing to hear and see at present. All appreciated from this Instructor. This course is full of information that I wish I could have put into place 20 years ago. The information is put forward in a very logical and non-judgmental way. It shows us regular humans that there is room for improvement even if it is only in 10-minutes a day. I want to read every book referenced in this course and, now that I've completed the course, I am excited to share what I've learned with others.

The pandemic is what made me seek out effective ways to quarantine and keep my sanity. I heard that Yale was offering a free course on The Science of Well-Being and I was eager to sign-up. The instructor Laurie Santos delivered on this course. The instruction and course materials were spot on. I am thankful that I jumped at the chance to gain some first- hand knowledge of this subject. I am happier!!!

Through the dispelling of my misconceptions of what made me happy, Professor Santos really challenged my skepticism and brought me out of my deepest period in life to date so far. Purely coincidental, but I'm glad this course appeared to me when it did. Thank you Professor Santos. This course is unexpectedly very practical. Since very early the teacher pushes the students to try the practices she is teaching and in the end, as a final project, you are nudged once more to go deeper on one chosen practice and measure how it went for you. Every single bit of knowledge is proven and the references are given and explained. That not only taught me more but solidified what I already knew.

I am absolutely ecstatic after completing this course . It has given me an insight about how we think that certain materialistic things can make us happy but actually in reality they do not. What matters more is valuing time over money, investing in experiences, focusing on your well being . It is a must do course for people who want to gain more insights about well being and lead a healthy mindful life.

Best online course I've ever taken. Super useful strategies, information, advice, expert opinion, and thoughts on how to be better: mentally, physically and spiritually. Super well planned out to force you to make changes and literally be happier. Would recommend this course to ANYONE of ANY AGE that is willing to change and listen to concepts that no other course teaches you and is crucial for your life.

I really enjoyed the course. Starting this during stay at home was nice escape. This allowed me to do something for myself that was positive. I also adopted some of the rewirements into my routine. I will continue to meditate daily I hope as well. I also hope to go back through the course and watch or read some of the reference materials as well. The information was surprising and enlightening. I've been on this path for several years, and the information and resources are quality. I appreciate the discussions of discrepancies and the honesty in this course. Most importantly, the project to actually put the course info into practice is key. All courses should be like this; success or fail, you learn. If you put genuine effort in, you learn the most important lessons in life and personal growth.

Truly a great course! If you really take it seriously, do the rewirements, etc. it has the potential to be life-changing in a very positive way. I will admit some of the content was stuff I had already figured out for myself, but it was nice to hear scientific data to confirm it! Super helpful course for anyone. It will definitely make me more conscious in the future about my habits, behaviors, and goals.

The Yale Science of Well-Being course was exceptionally informative as well as functional in bringing about changes. Its a well structured program with scientifcallly validated theories and recommendations which could be well adopted resulting in the accomplished sense of well-being and happiness. This served as a savior to a great many by lifting them out of darkness into the hope to a new way of life.

Absolutely LOVED this course! It gave a lot of insight in human behavior. The course is set up in a very logical and clear way. Easy to follow. I love the fact that the teacher is showing her own vulnerabilities, it shows how hard it really can be and that we are not alone in our struggles. Would recommend this course to anyone who wants to become happier (and wants to do some work to get to that point).

Excellent introduction to positive psychology and how to improve your level of happiness through the incorporation of various techniques, all based on scientific research. Class assignments center around incorporating those habits into your own life. Happiness levels are measured pre and post class. Mine improved a lot! Highly recommended for those who love to learn and would like to have a happier life!

I am grateful for this course and thank you Professor Santos for all the wonderful work you are doing in the field of cognitive science and positive psychology. This was my first step in creating a life that I love, and the re-wirement exercise has set my in a good path to cultivating positive habits. I learned useful information and techniques to implement into my life to increase my happiness. It was challenging and fun at the same time. I loved learning about the studies behind the science of well-being and hearing from the experts from interviews with Professor Santos. This should be a required course at all campuses. This class has been very beneficial to me and has given me a boost of happiness.
