This course opened my eyes how powerful tool mind is. It has the power of blocking our potential or allowing us to soar to possibilities beyond our wildest dreams. Prof. Laurie Santos has been so inspiring and encouraging that being able to achieve so much of this course is mostly because of her. I have enjoyed a lot of my journey and will keep on learning much more about well-being and happiness!

Thanks Laura for her enthusiasm in delivering the course. And thanks for the aid provided by Coursera during the pandemic help me to access the most popular class in Yale University. I enjoyed the class and content and make the science into practice. I start the habit of the gratitude journal and exercises during this course period which boost my happiness level. I think it's only a beginning.

Professor Santos is a terrific teacher. Great communication style.

The substance of this course is top-notch. Definitely worth the time! The main difference between this course and most others - the focus on application, not simply understanding the concepts. I can tell that Professor Santos cares about people being happier and am grateful to have had the chance to learn from her! Thank you!

This was a great course...I appreciate that everything was backed by science. The one thing I wish is that they did a better job surveying users to understand other external factors that may be impacting happiness before and during the course since that could affect the happiness scores. But aside from that, I think it was really well done and I'm glad i took this course. Thank you Dr. Santos!

I love everything is scientifically based. Happiness is really one quality of life measures that people ignore, as it is hard to describe it, so we end up using external circumstances to describe our own happiness (ie money, grade, car etc). But this course has taught me the happiness is how you see the the world, rather than how the world sees you. Thank you for putting this course together.

This was an outstanding course taught by an inspiring professor. It was a worthwhile experience, and I learned and put into practice skills that I definitely plan to continue using. In this morning's Wall Street Journal, there was an editorial titled "The Future of U. S. Higher Education: A Few Stars, Many Satellites. It referenced Dr. Santos and this course. Dr. Santos is absolutely a star!

Thank you for a great course. It was wonderful to be engaged in learning the science behind what makes us happier in our lives. I loved how every bit of info that sounded wonky was backed up with concrete data to prove your point. Kudos Professor Santos for helping young college students (and others) realize life is full of wonderful things beyond good grades, social media and a lucrative job.

Loved this course. It explains using data from studies, how what we think will make us happy, does not necessarily do so. It then goes into what you can do to improve your contentment in life. The course is well organized and Laurie Santos presents short videos so its easy for busy working people to keep up with the classes. She is a good presenter. Thank you for making this awesome course free.

I took the course at the start of my quarantine and was not in a place of well-being. By the end of the course, I learned a lot about my misconceptions about happiness. I also learned a lot about myself and adopted good work habits in completing assignments. Professor Santos delivered excellent lectures and was encouraging and supportive throughout the course! I highly recommend this course.

Thank you for your work and your honesty while lecturing throughout the course. You provided us with a wealth of information and research to validate the work. I'm very interested in this work and wish I had learned about these types of efforts much earlier in my career. I'm glad I discovered this chance and hope to pursue other similar options. Appreciated what I've gained from this experience.

I really loved this course, all the topics studied were very enriching. I learned from the real science that exists behind such small things like be grateful to more familiar topics such exercising. I recommend this course to anyone who wants to find a more academic reason to change their habits.

Also, the instructor Santos is an excellent teacher and has a very warm approach with all students.

This amazing course has taught me about things that really matter to me. I especially liked to learn about things that don't make us happy (though we think they do) and things that do make us happy (and why it takes intentional effort to commit to these new habits). The icing on the cake were the nudges and support strategies to really commit to the changes I liked to make in my daily routines.

Thoroughly enjoyable and lived up to the hype from others. I believe that I took a lot out of the classes, developing much stronger awareness of existing habits, as well as starting to develop some new ones. I hope to continue to be able to learn from and reflect from the teachings and literature underpinning this topic going forward. Many thanks to everyone involved in producing this course :)

This was an awesome course. The Professor is amazing, here style of teaching, warmth and delivery, makes you want to listen to her all day. I highly recommend this course. I'm old(er), I was not really sure I had the capacity for coursework any longer, but I did it, and I loved it. Don't doubt your capacity, and if you think you could be happier or enjoy life even a bit more, take this course.

This course was so interesting. I enjoyed finding out a bout the research and then seeing how that can be put into practise to build a happier life. There are things in here that you have heard you should take time to do like gratitude that finally make sense. The lecturer makes the content interesting and relevant. This was my first online course and it has made me want to do more...thank you.

Professor Laurie Santos has the amazing and powerful energy to redirect and teach new techniques to achieve a balance mind. In this course, she not only explain how the mind works but also how to help our mind to be healthy by very simple, yet difficult habits, sush as eating, sleeping and exercising.

It was a good investment and definitely a great experience. Thank you for giving us this tool.

I have enjoyed everything about this course. I am a health teacher so this is why I took it. I deal with so many kids with mental health concerns so I just wanted to know what really makes someone happy. I wrote in a journal for a month about 3 things I am grateful for every day. I was consistent with the whole month. I liked looking back at what I was grateful full. Keep up the good work.

An excellent course. Extremely well presented and made meaningful by the rewirements. I would encourage everyone to do it but not just read through it, really engage with the material. Reading some of the assignments I don't think some people really understood what they were reading or were really vague. Be specific in what you want to achieve. Set measurable goals not vague, meaningless ones

It's life changing. The huge plus for the course is that everything Dr. Santos says is based on academic studies, peer reviewed and published. It's not just a "guru's" opinion. She beautifully presents this research in clear, simple english. Essentially you learn what doesn't make people happy, despite what they think, and 6 simple habits that do increase your happiness. Am deeply grateful.

I really enjoyed taking this course. The ability to quantify and rate my happiness scores helped tremendously as did communicating with others in discussion forums. To be able to read what others were going through and how they dealt with issues in their lives gave me some insight into mine. I feel my level of humanity has increased exponentially in the time I have spent taking this course.

Loved every second of this! The lectures are engaging and so informative. The course material can be applied immediately into real life. So glad I took this course and would recommend it to anyone and everyone. It was really fun to take with friends and then we could discuss the principles and hold each other accountable for implementing them. Thank you for the opportunity to take this online!
