So we can check Google News every day, but Ozo isn't exactly garnering big hits on a weekly basis, and as we said, timeliness is such an important factor to these sites. Luckily, there are a few tools that we can use to set up alerts and actively monitor what's going on so we can get something as soon as it's out there. Google Alerts is a great tool. Google.com/alerts is really all you need to do. A few tips, I encourage you to do it as it happens, as timeliness is key. Other than that, I recommend setting up two alerts, one for news and blogs, the other for website results. Website results are more expansive. They can give you more results, and websites that aren't included under the Google News moniker. But they can also be annoying. They can include spam, in general web pages that you're not interested in. For instance, Ozo's results generally include a lot of things that we might want to know about, such as Yelp reviews, but not stuff we're going to be able to immediately leverage, like news coverage. That being said, you may want to dial that alert down. I'd encourage you to change the how many setting to, all results for news and blogs, but only the best results for other types of websites. There's a lot of garbage out there. Moreover, you might only want to look at website results every other week or so. So changing the frequency can be very helpful here. News and blog coverage Ozo is huge. We want all of it and we want it right away. MENTION.COM also offers a free account where you can track one company at a time, just enough for a small business. Here we're setting up a search for Ozo Coffee. It also includes a social search which pulls in Twitter data. It's a nice way to monitor social media mentions, but it doesn't have the historical news archive that can rival Google.
