[SOUND] In this module, you'll analyze performance in situational data to create the systems and processes used to lead a senior management team. You'll apply what you've learned during the strategic leadership and management specialization courses into assignments. One, to plan managing the group of direct reports, and the second, to begin planning a strategic planning retreat. In this portion of the scenario Keith North needs to quickly establish processes and systems to create communication, collaboration, synergy, and improve performance with the four unit heads and key support function representatives that comprise his senior leadership team. He plans to leverage a strategic planning meeting to update the division plan and to engage the team in effectively working together. The two assignments are focused on establishing control and collaboration and planning a strategy workshop. In the first assignment you'll consider planned actions to create effective communication, coordination, and control. In the second assignment you'll focus on preparing for strategic planning workshop and embedding team building opportunities during that activity. To prepare for the assignments, start with partially completed 30/60/90 day plan from Module 1. And read the background emails, notes, and documents and articles in order referring to the Strategic Leadership and Management specialization courses as needed. [SOUND]
