Well our last question for the Q&A in the LTTO MOOC is from Carolina and she's asked something about, what about one to one tutoring online? >> Mm-hm. >> So in the MOOC we focused a lot in our examples and case studies on larger classes. But what about in instances where it's one tutor and one student working in an online environment. >> Yeah. >> So why have. >> This is becoming really popular in language teaching and any sort of one to one tutorial. >> So she's sort of wondering why we didn't focus so much on that in the MOOC. >> It's a great question And I guess the easiest response in a way is the fact that Simon and I aren't particularly experts [LAUGH] or have much experience in one on one online tutoring specifically. But what we have learnt along with many other things we've learn't from the MOOC is that this is obviously a very growing space and a lot of our participants are really interested in learning how to set up businesses around the online tutoring space. How to engage students when it's only one on one. How do you even have social presence if there's only one on one? So how to better make that learning environment in an online space? And unfortunately we really didn't tap into it here. What has been great that I've noticed in the forums though, is that there's a lot of people sharing ideas about it. Which is fabulous to see and that whole community of learning. >> Mm-hm. >> From one another. And I think it's something that we're definitely going to take on board for any future redesign of this course, because we know now that it's such an important trend in education. >> And I think that points to the fact that right from the beginning I'm sorry, we actually said that we don't know everything, but that the idea is drawing on the community, and I think we've seen that there. But one thing I would say is that we've illustrated a lot of these principles from those sorts of group class situations, but there's nothing to say that those principles can't be applied in a slightly different way into that sort of one on one scenario. >> Yeah. >> So, it's just about really reflecting on what you do in that situation, how it currently works and looking at how things like constructive alignment, different activities that we've sort. >> Yep. >> Of looked at. They can all be adapted to fit. >> Yeah, absolutely. >> So it's just about thinking of the core principles. >> Mm. >> We've talked about and adapting and experimenting. And getting in touch with peers and seeing what works for them. >> Exactly. That's what I was going to say. >> Yeah. >> in terms of stay engaged with the others that you've met, in the MOOC >> Yeah. >> Who are already in the online tutoring space, or just to learn from each other, share ideas with one another. That was actually one of our goals for the MOOC. Was establishing a community for educators from various sectors, to be able to meet and to be able to digitally meet online. Share ideas, learn from each other, not just during the eight weeks, but on an ongoing basis. >> Yeah, so hopefully that will help. We look at doing a case study for next time if we run the MOOC again. I hope we will. >> Yeah. >> But thanks, and just think about the principles and use the community contacts that you've built. Thanks very much. >> Thanks.
